Discover the new VACUUBRAND

We are proud to present the new VACUUBRAND identity which launched at Analytica in Munich Germany on June 21^st. The focus is on the VACUUBRAND promise: Innovative vacuum technology enabling our customers to run reliable, safe and efficient processes. With the new design, the brand has a modern, unmistakable uplift. The new logo highlights the word VACUU in VACUUBRAND to emphasize vacuum technology as the core competence. It forms the umbrella for the names of the innovative products such as VACUU·PURE®, VACUU·SELECT® or VACUU·LAN®. BRAND®, set in a finer typeface defines VACUUBRAND as an integral part of the Brand Group. You will see the new branding rolled out across the US and Canadian BrandTech® Scientific touchpoints in the coming months.

Spring Live Events Round Up

Now that the summer is here, we’re happy to be wrapping up a busy trade show season!  With events ranging from Texas to Baltimore, here are a few highlights from the spring:  Alex Mangas and Janice Lanier made their way to Washington, DC in early June for ASM Microbe 2022. The American Society for Microbiology program is a staple in the biology community with their focus on discovery in the university and healthcare industry. 

In May, Alex Mangas and Mike Yedowitz headed to Baltimore, MD for Lab Manager Leadership Summit. The main focus of this event was its seminars, with everything from hiring young talent for your new lab startup to motivational speakers to help better your life.  We were pleased to hear that many lab managers are branching off to start their own specialized labs, truly great prospects moving forward in the industry.

Our trade show all-stars Mat Carignan and John Kalinowski exhibited at Lab Design Conference 2022. This event had networking, informative seminars and content presented by Harvard University and Avantor to name a few. In addition to supporting the event with a booth, BrandTech sponsored the lunch sessions to showcase our VACUU·LAN® lab vacuum systems.

Overall, it was terrific for the sales team to get back into the field and participate in live events. Keep an eye out for us in August at ACS Fall 2022 in Chicago, IL.

Sales Spotlight - Glenn Erdman

Glenn has a great story on how he was recruited into sales at BrandTech. Fresh out of college and working his first job as a sales rep for a payroll company, he cold-called BrandTech which was a new business in his territory. Glenn pitched his service, and impressed the new company with a personal follow up. His endearing personality was a fit, he was hired and has been with BrandTech Scientific for 25 years. His territory and responsibilities have shifted over the years with NY always part of the mix, he is currently the Regional Sales Manager for the East Coast.

Glenn is always ready to talk sports, he follows his alma-mater Villanova Wildcats, enjoys playing and coaching his daughters in softball and is an avid golfer. He lives in Eastchester, NY with his wife Amy and their daughters Taylor and Madison.

Transitioning to a Hybrid Working Environment

From humble beginnings at the “One-Room Schoolhouse”, to the current location on Bokum Road, Essex has been BrandTech’s home since its inception in 1996. Much more has changed besides the address – we have grown from a group of 5 to over 50, we are stocking more product than ever before, and most importantly in recent years, we are continuing to live through a worldwide pandemic!

As BrandTech’s needs have changed the office space has evolved, bringing us to a current construction project to adapt our space. After postponing plans to create a larger conference room and more individual office spaces in early 2020, the majority of staff transitioned to working from home. Everyone was set up with home work spaces, while reorganizing to allow for those in the office to be a safe distance from one another.

Now that more of us are returning to the office for work days and to have in-person meetings and brainstorm sessions, the configuration of our space needed to be updated. Construction has begun to include building out new spaces that can accommodate hotel style workspace, as well as small groups looking to meet in-person rather than virtually. We are excited to unveil the finished product when everyone visits for the summer sales meeting!
